Piéta Africaine

This work is entitled « Pietà Africaine». It’s a picture of Ernest Pignon-Ernest’s silk-screen painting in situation. The picture was taken in Soweto, Durban (South-Africa) in 2002. This picture is an overall plan size. Its size is about 114×145 cm. It is exposed in the MAMAC in Nice.

The screen painting is sticked on a mobile toilet in an Africa town. We can see children playing in front of the photography showing a woman holding a man in her arms. The man seems to be sick, tired and very skinny. The picture is about the rallying against AIDS in Africa. The woman seems strong because she is holding the man, she symbolizes motherhood and strength.

Romeo & Juliet made in Nucéra

Cette année (2015-2016), les 4e1 ont participé au festival Shakespeare Freestyle organisé par Irina Brook et le Théâtre de Nice durant lequel des classes de collèges et lycées du département ont proposé leurs réinventions et mises en scène de pièces de Shakespeare.

La pièce de théâtre “Romeo and Juliet made in Nucéra” a été écrite par les élèves de la classe de 4e1 du collège Louis Nucéra.
